platefit_vimos (Galaxie pipeline)
The "platefit_vimos" software is a subproject of the "Galaxie"
pipeline.
It is designed to automatically measure spectral features (emission
lines, absorption lines, spectral indices) from a set of 1D spectra.
"platefit_vimos" is based on the original "platefit" IDL code
developped by Christy Tremonti, Jarle Brinchmann, and Stéphane
Charlot for the SDSS project. More info available here: http://www.mpa-garching.mpg.de/SDSS/DR7/.
"platefit_vimos" has been adapted for the needs of the VVDS and zCOSMOS high
redshift projects, mainly by Fabrice Lamareille, Jarle Brinchmann and
collaborators.
The Java version of "platefit_vimos" is now part of the "Galaxie"
pipeline.

A paper is being written presenting all the features of
"platefit_vimos" and its application to the zCOSMOS project. The
whole IDL software will be released together with this paper.
Up to now, it is however possible to download data samples processed with
"platefit_vimos".
